Plans and Billing

This page explains the product behavior around plans and billing. For current commercial packaging and pricing, use rgl8r.com/pricing .

Current plan model

RGL8R supports three plan tiers in the product:

  • Sandbox for evaluation and smaller-scale use.
  • Professional for sustained production use with higher limits and paid billing.
  • Enterprise for negotiated commercial terms and higher-touch operating support.

Sandbox expectations

  • Sandbox is the default free starting point.
  • Sandbox signup does not require a credit card.
  • Sandbox tenants operate with tighter rate limits and daily caps on selected operations.
  • Sandbox is appropriate for evaluation, initial workflow testing, and smaller-scale usage.

When billing setup happens

Billing setup is separate from account creation.

  • Free signup does not collect payment details.
  • Payment-method setup is part of the paid billing path and upgrade flow.
  • Stripe handles card collection and storage.

What you can see in the billing area

The billing dashboard is the source of truth for tenant-visible plan and usage data:

  • current plan tier,
  • plan limits and retention rules,
  • current usage,
  • daily cap visibility for capped plans,
  • projected or actual billed usage, depending on your rollout flags and plan state.

Upgrade and downgrade behavior

  • Upgrades move you into a paid tier and unlock higher operational limits.
  • Downgrades return the tenant to Sandbox behavior, including Sandbox limits.
  • If a paid subscription is already in progress, billing may continue through the current period while product limits change according to plan state.

SHIP versus usage-based billing

RGL8R supports both usage-based billing and SHIP gain-share concepts in the product. The exact commercial structure depends on your plan and commercial agreement. Treat the site pricing page and your customer agreement as the commercial source of truth.

Autopay

When billing self-serve capabilities are enabled for your account, you can toggle autopay from the billing dashboard.

  • Enabling autopay requires a confirmed payment method on file. If no payment method is set up, the toggle will prompt you to add one first.
  • Disabling autopay stops automatic payment collection. Outstanding invoices will still appear in your billing history but will not be charged automatically.
  • Autopay state is visible in the billing area alongside your current plan and usage.

Payment method management

When billing self-serve capabilities are enabled:

  • Add a payment method through the billing dashboard. Stripe handles card collection and storage securely.
  • Confirm a payment method after adding it. The confirmation step verifies the card is valid and sets it as your default payment method.
  • Payment method status is visible in the billing area. You can update your payment method at any time.
